Russland 3 & 50 Rubel 2011 "Internal Troops of the Ministry for Internal Affairs"

On March 22, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues a silver proof commemorative coin in denomination of 3 Rubles and a gold proof commemorative coin in denomination of 50 Rubles, both dedicated to the 200-th anniversary of the Internal Troops of the Ministry for Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5111-0209, diameter 39.0 mm, mintage 3000 pcs) and the gold proof coin in denomination of 50 Roubles (fine metal content 7.78g, fineness 999/1000, catalogue number 5216-0074, diameter 22.6 mm, mintage 750 pcs) have the rim, raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin “ТРИ РУБЛЯ” (THREE ROUBLES), “ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ” (FIFTY ROUBLES) respectively and the year of issue "2011", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of the mint and the fine precious metal content.

The reverse side:

- of the silver coin depicts the relief images of military men of the security forces in a rank and a colour cloth of the Ministry for Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, performed in colour. The inscription at the top, along the circumference says “200-ЛЕТИЕ ВНУТРЕННИХ ВОЙСК МВД РОССИИ” (200-th ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTERNAL TROOPS OF THE MINISTRY FOR INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION).

- of the gold coin depicts the relief images of a griffin with a sword and a shield, and a decorative garland from the oak leaves, interlaced with a ribbon. The inscription at the top, along the circumference says “200-ЛЕТИЕ ВНУТРЕННИХ ВОЙСК МВД РОССИИ” (200-th ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTERNAL TROOPS OF THE MINISTRY FOR INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION).

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
