The silver coins of 2 Rubles denomination featuring the Shemaya-Fish of the Azov Sea of the Baikal area (fine metal content 15.55g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5110-0086 accordingly, diameter 33.0 mm, mintage 12500 pcs of each kind).

The rim is raised on both sides of the coins.

The reverse: the relief image of a Shemaya-Fish of the Azov Sea and Black Sea. The inscription at the top along the rim – "АЗОВО-ЧЕРНОМОРСКАЯ ШЕМАЯ" (SHEMAYA-FISH OF THE AZOV SEA AND BLACK SEA);


The obverse of the coins: the relief picture of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA). The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coins "ДВА РУБЛЯ" (TWO RUBLES) and the year of issue "2008", between them - the indication of the metal sign in accordance with the Mendeleyev Periodic System of chemical elements, the fineness, the mint mark of the St. Petersburg Mint and the fine metal content.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The rim is raised on both sides of the coins.

The reverse: the relief image of an Emperor dragonfly. The inscription at the top along the rim – "ДОЗОРЩИК ИМПЕРАТОР" (EMPEROR DRAGONFLY);

The reverse: the relief image of a black-capped marmot of the Baikal area. The inscription at the top along the rim – "ПРИБАЙКАЛЬСКИЙ ЧЕРНОШАПОЧНЫЙ СУРОК" (BLACK-CAPPED MARMOT OF THE BAIKAL AREA).

On September 1, 2010 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious metals:

- three silver proof coins in denomination of 2 Rubles of the series "Red Data Book" with the images of Ussuri Sika Deer, Short-tailed Albatross and Blunt-nosed Viper,

The silver proof coins in denomination of 2 Rubles of the series "Red Data Book" (fine metal content 15.55g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue numbers 5110-0104, 5110-0105 and 5110-0106, diameter 33.0 mm, mintage 7500 pcs of each kind) have the rim, raised on both sides of all the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ДВА РУБЛЯ" (TWO RUBLES) and the year of issue "2010", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of the Saint-Petersburg Mint and the fine precious metal content.

The silver proof coins in denomination of 2 Roubles of the series "Red Data Book" (fine metal content 15.55g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue numbers 5110-0113, 5110-0114 and 5110-0115, diameter 33.0 mm, mintage 5000 pcs of each kind) have the rim, raised on both sides of all the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
