Der KMS aus Irland in BU kommt Ende Januar und wird zum Thema "Hurling and Football" im neuen Folder "Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA)"
Das ist die nationale Sportvereinigung Irlands.
Auflage wird 25.000 und Ausgabepreis in Irland 25,- Euro

Heute war´s schon zu spät
Im Vergleich mit 2007 RV könnte es vom Preis her mit 5,88 Euro Inhalt passen.

Celebrating 125 Years of the GAA, the 2009 Annual Mint Set will be launched on 30
th January 2009. The set contains each of the 8 euro coins in brilliant uncirculated quality and is presented in this very attractive and informative display.
The GAA is the largest sporting organisation in Ireland with approximately 2,500 clubs and 800,000 members. The games that it promotes, Gaelic football and hurling (as well as handball, rounders, camogie and Ladies’ football) are played across the island and throughout the Diaspora. It’s national stadium, Croke Park, which holds 82,300 people, embodies the success of the GAA in the 21
st Century. This is one of a number of products that will be produced by the Central Bank in 2009, and it is also planned to launch a special GAA €15 Silver Proof coin in November to coincide with the actual anniversary.

The 2009 Annual Mint set was unveiled today by the Central Bank to commemorate the 125th founding of the GAA. There are 25,000 limited edition sets being issued by the Central Bank and each set is a tribute to the founding of the GAA and its place as one of the largest amateur sporting organisations in the world.
Speaking at the launch of the coin set, President of the GAA Nickey Brennan said “I am delighted that we are here in Croke Park for this launch and it is an honour for the GAA to be commemorated in this way. I am sure this coin set will be a very popular souvenir for members of the GAA not just here in Ireland but right across the globe.”
Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. John Hurley, presented the set of 2009 coins to the President of the GAA, Mr. Nickey Brennan. Mr. Hurley, said “This year, the Central Bank is delighted and honoured to partner the GAA, in issuing the Annual Mint set in 2009 in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the GAA in Hayes’ Hotel Thurles. The GAA has made a great contribution to Irish sporting and cultural life since its inception in 1884 and we are proud to be associated with the anniversary events.”
The set will be on sale to the public from the 2nd of February, at a cost of €25 per set from the Central Bank, Dame Street and also from the GAA Museum (01 8192323). An official order form for the 2009 coin set is available from the Central Bank by phoning 1890 307 607 or from the website,
http://www.centralbank.ie. The set may also be purchased directly from selected GAA outlets nationwide.
To complement the set, the Central Bank also plan to issue a €15 Silver Proof coin, featuring the GAA crest to coincide with the actual anniversary of the GAA in November 2009.
