By virtue of art.25, para.1 of the Law on the BNB, from 18 May 2009 the Bulgarian National Bank puts in circulation a silver commemorative coin with silicate enamel coating ‘130 Years Bulgarian National Bank’. The coin can be purchased at the BNB teller desks for BGN 60 (sixty), VAT included.

The obverse of the coin depicts the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank, with the years ‘1879’ and ‘2009’ inscribed on the ribbon. In circumference there go 'БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (BULGARIAN NATIONAL BANK), the face value ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (10 BGN), and the year of issue ‘2009’.

The reverse of the coin features a fragment of stained glass in the BNB building, silicate enamel-coated, and the circumferential inscription ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА·130 ГОДИНИ’ (BULGARIAN NATIONAL BANK-130 YEARS). On both sides of the fragment there are two stylised leafy oak twigs..

The authors of the artistic design are Razvigor Kolev and Borislav Kyossev.

Today the Bulgarian National Bank also presented the new ‘Catalogue of Bulgarian Banknotes’ and ‘Catalogue of Bulgarian Coins’ published on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the Bank’s foundation. These two publications describe all banknotes and coins issued by the BNB until now, including the ‘130 Years Bulgarian National Bank’ coin presented today.

Gibt es eigentlich eine seriöse und bezahlbare Bezugsquelle für neu erscheinende bulgarische Münzen.
