3 Roubles 2011 "20 years of the Community of Independent States"

On November 1, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious metals:

- a silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles "20 years of the Community of Independent States";

The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31,1g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5111-0222, diameter 39,0 mm, mintage 3000 pcs) has the rim raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE ROUBLES) and the year of issue "2011", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of St. Petersburg mint and the fine precious metal content.

The reverse side bears the image of the Emblem of Community of the Independent States against the background of the unfolded book and olive twig. The inscriptions are: at the top along the circumference - "СОДРУЖЕСТВО НЕЗАВИСИМЫХ ГОСУДАРСТВ" (COMMUNITY OF THE INDEPENDENT STATES) and to the right of the Emblem - "20 ЛЕТ" (20 YEARS).
