On April 1, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious metals:

- silver proof coins in denomination of 3 and 100 Roubles and a gold proof coin in denomination of 50 Roubles of the Historical Series: "The 350th Anniversary of the Voluntary Entering of Buryatia into the Russian State",

The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5111-0211, diameter 39.0 mm, mintage 3000 pcs), the silver proof-like coin in denomination of 100 Roubles (fine metal content 1 kg, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5117-0045, diameter 100.0 mm, mintage 300 pcs) and the gold proof coin in denomination of 50 Roubles (fine metal content 7.78 g, fineness 999/1000, catalogue number 5216-0075, diameter 22.6 mm, mintage 1000 pcs) of the Historical Series: "The 350th Anniversary of the Voluntary Entering of Buryatia into the Russian State" have the rim, raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin “ТРИ РУБЛЯ” (THREE ROUBLES), “ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ” (FIFTY ROUBLES), “СТО РУБЛЕЙ” (ONE HUNDRED ROUBLES) respectively and the year of issue "2011", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of the Moscow mint and the fine precious metal content.

The reverse side:

- of the silver coin in denomination of 3 Roubles depicts the relief images of a woman in a national costume and national Buryat animals against the background of mountains. The inscription at the bottom says “БУРЯТИЯ” (BURYATIA);

- of the silver coin in denomination of 100 Roubles depicts the relief images of the Buryat natives in their everyday life against the background of local churches, dwellings and mountains. The inscription at the bottom says “БУРЯТИЯ” (BURYATIA);

- of the gold coin in denomination 50 Roubles depicts the relief image of the emblem of the Republic of Buryatia framed by a stylized pattern. At the top the inscription says “БУРЯТИЯ” (BURYATIA).

The edge of the coins is corrugated.
