On September 1, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative

coins of precious metals:

- a silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles "The Year of the Russian Culture and the Russian Language in Italy and the Year of the Italian Culture and the Italian Language in Russia";

The description of the coin of precious metals.

The silver coin with gold insertion on the obverse in denomination of 25 Roubles " The year of the Russian Culture and the Russian Language in Italy and the Year of the Italian Culture and the Italian Language in Russia" (silver fine metal content 155.5 g, fineness of base alloy of coin 925/1000 fine metal content of the insertion 4.66 g, the insertion fineness 999/1000, catalogue number 5615-0004, diameter 60.0 mm, mintage 1000 pcs) has a rim, raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES) and the year of issue "2011", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of Saint-Petersburg mint and the fine precious metal content.

The reverse side bears a gold rectangular images of insertion and of the flags of Russian Federation and Republic of Italy performed in colour against the background of architectural monuments of Sergiev Posad and Bari towns. There are inscriptions along the rim divided by dot "The Year of the Russian Culture and the Russian Language in Italy and the Year of the Italian Culture and the Italian Language in Russia"; the inscription "СЕРГИЕВ ПОСАД" (SERGIEV POSAD) in two lines – to the left and the inscription "БАРИ" (BARI) - to the right of the flags. The insertion bears the image of icon "NIKOLAY CHUDOTVORETS". The indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, purity "Au 999" and the fine gold content "4.66"are at the bottom of the insertion.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.
