Series : "Sberbank 170 years"

On September 9, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious metals:

- a silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles
- a silver proof-like coin in denomination of 100 Roubles and
- a gold proof coin in denomination of 50 Roubles,

all of the series "Sberbank. 170 Years",

The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5111-0218, diameter 39.0 mm, mintage 12000 pcs), a silver proof-like coin in denomination of 100 Roubles (fine metal content 1000 g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5117-0047, diameter 100.0 mm, mintage 350 pcs) and a gold proof coin in denomination of 50 Roubles (fine metal content 7.78 g, fineness 999/1000, catalogue number 5216-0078, diameter 22.6 mm, mintage 750 pcs) have the rim, raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE ROUBLES) "ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ" (FIFTY ROUBLES) and "СТО РУБЛЕЙ" (ONE HUNDRED ROUBLES) respectively and the year of issue "2011", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of Saint-Petersburg mint and the fine precious metal content.

The reverse side:

- of the silver coin in denomination of 3 Roubles depicts the relief image of the globe on the frosted surface, and the image of a flower performed in colour at the lower part. The inscription along the circumference at the left side says "СБЕРБАНК 170 ЛЕТ" (SBERBANK 170 YEARS);

- of the silver coin in denomination of 100 Roubles depicts the relief image of a flower on the mat surface, performed in colour, and the images of the civilization attributes on the mirror surface. The inscription at the top along the circumference says "СБЕРБАНК 170 ЛЕТ" (SBERBANK 170 YEARS);

- of the gold coin in denomination of 50 Roubles depicts the relief image of a hand with a flower on the frosted surface. The inscription along the circumference at the lower part says "СБЕРБАНК 170 ЛЕТ" (SBERBANK 170 YEARS).

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
