On January 30, 2012 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues three silver proof commemorative coins in denomination of 3, 25 and 100 Roubles of the Historical series: "The 400th Anniversary of the People’s Volunteer Corps Headed by Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky"
The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5111-0226, diameter 39.0 mm, mintage 5000 pcs), the silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles (fine metal content 155.5g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5115-0069, diameter 60.0 mm, mintage 1000 pcs) and a silver proof-like coin in denomination of 100 Roubles (fine metal content 1000 g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5117-0050, diameter 100.0 mm, mintage 500 pcs) have the rim, raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.
The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coins "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES), "СТО РУБЛЕЙ" (ONE HUNDRED ROUBLES) respectively and the year of issue "2012", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of the Saint-Petersburg Mint and the fine precious metal content.
The reverse side:
- of the silver coin in denomination of 3 Roubles depicts the relief images of Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky and a flying banner. On the left and on the right sides of the coin there is a pattern. The inscriptions are: the date "1612" at the right side and "НАРОДНОЕ ОПОЛЧЕНИЕ" (VOLUNTEER CORPS) in two lines at the bottom part;
- of the silver coin in denomination of 25 Roubles depicts the relief images of weapons and armour, to the left and to the right sides of which there is a pattern. The inscriptions are: the date "1612" at the right side and "НАРОДНОЕ ОПОЛЧЕНИЕ" (VOLUNTEER CORPS) in two lines at the bottom part;
- of the silver coin in denomination of 100 Roubles depicts the relief images of Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky and volunteer soldiers against the background of the Moscow Kremlin. There is a pattern on the left and right sides. The inscriptions are: the date "1612" at the right side and "НАРОДНОЕ ОПОЛЧЕНИЕ" (VOLUNTEER CORPS) in two lines at the bottom part.
The edge of the coins is corrugated.
The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
