First European Conference on Commemorative Coins

The 1st European conference on commemorative coins "COINS-2008" will be held in St. Petersburg (Russia) on 25-26 June.

For the first time customers, producers, suppliers and distributors of commemorative coins will gather together in the territory of Russia to discuss actual issues with professionals, exchange experience and combine efforts for lobbying the market's interests.

The official languages of the conference - English and Russian.

The venue of COINS-2008 is St. Petersburg - the most European Russian city and certainly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

There is a contest Coin Constelation - 2008, which winners will be annouced at the conference.

And couple words about the contest.

More then 80 coins are participating in the Second International Commemorative Coin Competition - the Coin Constellation 2008.

- The National Bank of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan

- Royal Spanish Mint
- The Kazakhstan Mint
- Mint of Poland
- The Moscow Mint of Goznak FSUE, Russian Federation
- The St. Petersburg Mint branch of Goznak FSUE, Russian Federation
- Mint of Finland

The Contest Committee will predict the winners in the following nominations:
- The Coin of the Year
- The Gold Coin of the Year
- The Silver Coin of the Year
- Unique Ideological Solution
- Successful Artistic Solution
- Original Technology

People’s Choice Award will be given based on the results of the coinconference.com website visitors’ voting.
