"BENEDIKT KOTRULJEVIĆ"

In cooperation with the Croatian Monetary Institute, the Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative silver coin honouring Benedikt Kotruljević, a 15th century economist, renowned in Croatia and worldwide, whose seminal book "The Art of Trading" describes the nature and functioning of entrepreneurship and gives a full account of double-entry bookkeeping, which at present times still has a world-wide application.
The coin was minted in proof condition and was released for sale on 25 February 2008.
