New mint mark in 2022

Last summer, Stephan Satijn was appointed member of the provincial executive of the province of Limburg. As this post offers little or no room for additional activities, Stephan was forced to resign from his post as Mintmaster and member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Netherlands Mint with immediate effect.
We thank Stephan for his efforts and cherish the many beautiful moments we were able to experience together and wish him every success in his new challenge.
As of January 1, 2022, Bert van Ravenswaaij will be officially appointed Master of the Mint. Van Ravenswaaij has been active at the Royal Dutch Mint since 2017 and is responsible, among other things, for all issues for the collector's market, including commemorative coins and tokens. During this period, the Royal Netherlands Mint began to tell more and more stories using the coin as a medium of communication. His passion for coins, combined with his broad interest in matters affecting society, make him the ideal person in the role of Master of the Mint.
The title of workshop master also includes a workshop master mark. This, along with the mint mark, appears on Dutch circulation coins and Dutch collectibles. Bert van Ravenswaaij's personal workshop master mark is the raven. A raven is an intelligent, very socially oriented animal. The Royal Dutch Mint is at the heart of society through the various issues for different collectors. This is what the workshop master brand emphasizes.
Between the resignation of Stephan Satijn and the appointment of Bert van Ravenswaaij, it is the mark of the first named completed by an *, which was engraved on the coins minted at the Houten mint at the end of 2021.
